Rickover Experience - VADM R. F. Bacon

My name is Capt Butch Howard USN (ret). I am VADM Roger Bacon’s son in-law.  

Roger had an interesting encounter with Adm Rickover many years ago. Let’s just say that Roger’s initial years in the destroyer Navy, prior to his acceptance in the nuclear power program, provided him an opportunity to rebuild his body to a more comfortable state, making up for all that exercise at the Naval Academy!
